New UK Comedy Double Act

My Wife and I watched a fantastic new comedy show, broadcast live from The Mansion House last night. It starred Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England (Below Right)and Alastair Darling, our much troubled Chancellor of the Exchequer, (Below Left). Darling and King

The New Morecambe & Wise?

We were in fits of laughter when both men urged restraint in wage demands to combat higher prices of, well everything really!

They both demanded that we keep our wage rises below 4% - absolutely hilarious!! I was given 2.5% this year, my wife's employer didn't put her wage up at all, I don't know what Mr King is on but I know that Darling and the rest of his fellow MP's voted themselves a pay increase of around 25% (No, I haven't missed a decimal point out!) in April / May time.....

Did they know something we didn't??

Hi Gary This country is truly knackered, and these guys don't know what to do. With energy prices soaring, petrol, food and living in general going through the roof. What we need in this Country is The Common Sense Party. All people really need is to be able to afford to eat, be healthy and warm. We don't really need £520 million pound Olympic Stadiums think what that could have done for the NHS. We don't need a war in Afghanistan or Iraq its costing millions and for what. We can grow poppies here!!!! OUR Money is being wasted in other Countries by the Billions we should take care of our own people first only then will we be able to help others. There i've had my rant for today. Feel better now. Kev

We all need a good rant - and there are plenty of people ranting just now. The sad fact is that these rants will come to nothing and we'll vote for the 'other party' to get rid of this one, and they'll turn out to waste just as much and bring the country (and us) even closer to bancruptcy.

Common sense left years ago - never to return...

I'm ranting now!!!

We should set up our own party!!

We should draw up a manifesto and hit the local elections, set up a blog to get members and votes and away we go. Long live The Common Sense Party. Labour is red Conservatives blue Lib Dems yellow. We could be white.

I get to see a great comedy in my house all week with cast of rep players being drawn from all political areas. No really, I do see them being drawn as my partner is the Political cartoonist for the BBC Politics show website. You can imagine the converstaions in our house, especially when he was creating Gordon Brown's Captain Definite Alter ego.
