Stress.

My apologies for not visiting too many blogs this past week.

The stress of losing my computer, fixing it, installing antivirus software which slowed it down to a snail's pace, and then having to remove it and reinstall Windows XP from scratch wore me down, and stressed me out to the point that my little gut fiend (no, I didn't miss an 'r' out!) decided to have a bit of a flare up! Had to cancel all of my meetings from Wednesday onwards because of it. Yesterday was the worst day I've had for a month or so, but feeling much brighter today and the sun is shining which always lightens the spirit.

A tip for you today - If you ever have to completely wipe your hard drive and reinstal your operating system, wait until your operating system has installed all of the necessary updates and service packs before installing the antivirus software - I did it the other way round and it took me four and a half hours to download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3!!! (When I did it the right way round it took 49 minutes! - bit of a difference!)

We live and learn.

I had a virus on my pc last year and it completely ballsed it up! Cost me a fortune to get it put right too. I haven't got the confidence (or the nouse) to do my own repairs and only install the basic stuff.

Glad you are on the mend though, we don't realise how much we rely on these pc's until they're broken in some way.

I've probably missed the alphabetical 'C' stuff, but I thought I'd let you know that I have a new blog called Rinkly Rimes. On it, as you can imagine, I have poetry/verse/doggeral whatever and I'm going through the alphabet in an occasional way, re-publishing phonic rhymes that I wrote for small children as a teacher.

My "C" poem concerns a Cowboy. Mayb it will still fit your concept. Have a look and let me know.

COWBOYS ARE COOL! (C c)

I'm Casper Cox, the cowboy, and I ride a cowboy horse,
Cantering over the countryside, in cowboy clothes, of course.
The cows are my companions; the coyote often calls.
I'd rather have a cowboy's life than live in castle walls.

I'm Casper Cox, the cowboy. The cactus leaves are thick,
And, if I'm not too careful, they will give me quite a prick.
A cottage may be cosy and a couch may give me ease,
But I'd rather have a cowboy's life than comforts such as these.

I'm Casper Cox, the cowboy, and the desert nights are cold.
I curl up by the campfire, as the cavemen did of old.
I drink my cup of cocoa and I contemplate the stars.
I'd rather have a cowboy's life than a million motor cars.
