ABC Wednesday - D is for...

ABC Wednesday this week comes to you from within the confines of our home and garden. It has to be said that we are having one of the worst summers on record - persistent rain and cloud cover makes life miserable to say the least. Poor Emily is confined to the garden Dancing in the Drizzle with her Disney Domed umbrella!!
The Drains have certainly been overloaded with the Downpours. I Don't think they've ever been so busy.

One thing the torrential Downpours are good for are our Delightful Drenched Dianthus.
The Dull and overcast weather has been like a Dripping tap. Slowly Driving us all Demented as we struggle to come up with something Different to Do.
I've even taken to Digitising images of my sink Drain and Draining board!
I Do still have an escape though. When everything gets too much I simply withdraw to my Desk and Download my Digitised images onto a Disk.
And if all else fails, and Depression reigns supreme, there's always my Drug cupboard to Divert my attention from the Doom. (However, looking at this pile of pills is enough to Deepen the Depression.)
Happy ABC WETnesday!! For more Delightful 'D's' visit the ABC Wednesday Blog.

It seems that we did right in not going to the UK this summer: we stayed home and have had the best summer anyone can remember.

a double and a half dozen of d's there - we went out Saturday before the downpours - bought an umbrella for £3.99 from the BHF shop - opened it in the doorway and it fell apart - they exchanged it for another - it lasted while we went round the market and then after we got home as I walked my son round home the wind snapped it in half so when we got to his I dumped it in his wheelie bin - the delights of the british summer!

Wow Garry you put so much into that post! And you are right about the summer we are having (not!) That pile of pills looks depressingly similar to mine - especially those on the left! (Moonface rules ok?)

Mine is up too.

Very well done D post. I also like the captured drip from the faucet.
What little girl doesn't like a Disney princess umbrella to dance in the downpour?
