Xyloplastic ornaments!
(Google it above!!)
I don't know about you, but wifey and I love to collect 'genuine' wooden ornaments.
You can imagine our horror and dismay when we discovered these two purchases were xyloplastic imitations!!

Very beautiful X objects. I have learnt a new word "xyloplastic"!
I know the feeling. My mother once went to the USA and returned with a pendant, for my wife that was supposedly made by the Hopi indians. When I turned it over, which is what I do, the "Made in Taiwan" stamp hit me between the eyes.
Noice collection though
Nice shots and great choice for X!
Very clever post! A totally new word for me.
Shame about those ornaments - they're very attractive though.
I bought that exact same figurine of the girl cuddling the cat, thinking it was wood too! Ah , well, thanks for enlightening me...great post!
I am learning a few new words today! Xyloplastic. Hmmmmm.
How disappointing for you both, I have never heard of xyloplastic before.
good one. I never heard of that word before !
So that's what that is!

I love natural wood too, we have a selection of bowls which I look out for when out and about....one really good thing is they can not be broken...a god send with Wilma around!
I've seen those figurines - and they're plastic?!!!

Very nice post. I love the kitty book ends... those are cool!
It's Wednesday....
You've made a play.

Thanks
Clever X choices!
As long as you liked it!
I love the girl figurine.
Terrible thought!!! But they are still beautiful. Love the cats most.
Someone else (can't remember who) also used that word root - xylo, so I'm sitting here right now feeling a lot smarter than I actually am...
Hope you are having a great X day.
Ah, a technocrat.
Gary
Well, I did search google for definition and came up with: "Formed of wood pulp by molds; relating to casts made of wood pulp in molds." Thus it isn't such a bad deal after all. WOOD PULP!
Good entry!
For 'X', "Louis" was eXpatriate.
"Louis" thanks you for your visit to San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
"Louis" is up past his cowbell in a work project for the next several weeks, so he may stop by and take a look but not sign the 'guest registry'.
Hey Gary that is a great post. Have a great weekend!
